Hey Ady!
I have a question. As you know, I'm a dancer, and a lot of the time it feels like lower ab exercises are putting my developed hip flexors into overdrive. I feel like I get less of an ab workout b/c I can't take my hip flexors out of the equation. What do you recommend?
Lots of love!

Great question!
First of all, anytime you are bringing your legs toward your torso, the hip flexors have to get involved. It's inevitable! However, they can easily carry the majority of the work if the pelvis is not properly stabilized and that comes with core strength and integrity. Also consider weakness in the hip flexors.
To improve core strength without promoting poor postural habits, stick with exercises like planks, bridges, quadrupeds, anti-rotation with a barbell or med ball and ball slams.
Hope that helps!
I will be posting exercises and workouts for this soon!
Thanks again for reaching out! Happy to help!

Planks. Big surprise. :) Can't wait for the workouts!
